Episode 126: A380s are flying again but sadly, the Pig is out!

Yet again there’s lots of news about Qantas but then, the A380 is a lot of aircraft isn’t it!

  • A380s are back flying again but Qantas is only using them on the Sydney to London via Singapore route as Rolls Royce’s thrust limitation rules prevent them from using A380s on flights to/from Los Angeles.
  • The RAAF’s first KC-30A MRTT will be delivered on December 22nd in Spain and should then arrive in country in early 2011 for its acceptance flights with 33SQN at Amberley.
  • Meanwhile, the RAAF’s F-111s have ceased flying and a decommissioning ceremony was held, featuring A8-125 performing a final display.
