Episode 69: Air NZ issues a Bare Essentials challenge to Southwest Airlines

The boys manage a miracle and produce a short OzDesk episode for this most bodacious episode number. Kicking off across the ditch in New Zealand, Air New Zealand has taken their Bare Essentials safety video one step further and issued a challenge to Southwest Airlines to join them in shedding everything but some body paint. Sadly, that invitation video is no longer available to view but it turns out that Southwest responded, in their own wonderful way. Gotta love it when Air NZ gets cheeky!

Staying over the ditch, there’s also the report that the Royal New Zealand Air Force’s A-4K Skyhawks and Airmacchi MB339 trainers that have been shrink wrapped & parked at Woodbourne, may be getting purchased by Tactical Air Systems in Arizona. The big delay in selling these aircraft has been the involvement of the US State Department as well as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms, who had to both agree to the terms of sale. It’s all pending an engineering assessment by the potential buyer, but hopefully these aircraft will be flying again.

There ya go, only two stories and a quick chat. Told you it’d be a short OzDesk for a change!
