Fortunately the boys weren’t killed by the ending of the previous OzDesk episode (see #128) and are finally back in Australia and the studio, only to find lots of messages on their answering machine from the Geeks. Ooops… Better get back in the groove and review some aviation news from Down Under:
- Qantas returns its fifth A380 to service which clearly means that their Rolls Royce engines have been approved for full thrust operations once again, allowing them to take off with the full loads required for their long haul operations.
- The RAAF’s KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transports didn’t reach full service by the end of the year as expected due to Airbus not completing the required paperwork in time.
- Two RAAF pilots were unable to fly the Prime Minister in a scheduled Boeing Business Jet flight due to getting extremely drunk the night before.
- Qantas want to build a bio-fuel plant in Sydney using the Fischer-Tropsch system to create green jet fuel.
We wrap the episode with a New Years Eve message sent through via Royal Courier wherein he confirms that the British invented time or it wouldn’t be called Greenwich Mean Time, would it?
