Team PCDU have been at the RAAF’s Centenary of Military Aviation airshow at Point Cook and Grant’s been busy schmoozing in addition to the interviews the team have been busy recording. Some of the news items this week include:
- The RAAF have named the first two pilots to go to the USA and get trained on the F35
- Qantas announces how they’re going to get out of the bad situation they’re in and it includes job losses, early retirement of the 767s, retiring some 747s go sooner than expected and delaying some new aircraft orders – ouch!
- A replica of a Bristol Boxkite (the first aircraft flown at Pt Cook) flew 100 years to the day after that first flight and we got video of the replica’s flight
- Steve caught up with Air Marshal Geoff Brown, Chief of Air Force, and recorded a great chat about his career and flying the CH-47 Chinook
