Episode 198: A Quick Collection of Updates

At first glance the boys thought this week’s Australia Desk would just be the sound of crickets and them scratching their heads as they tried to figure out what to report on. Fortunately, they took another look & found a few interesting stories that could be quickly reviewed for you, including:

  • Alligator Airways are still grounded as the Federal Court upholds CASA’s side of the argument
  • Australian Army grounds the ARH Tiger (possibly following CASA’s lead with Tiger Airways? :)
  • Lockheed Martin are ready to start training RAAF pilots on the F35
  • Sydney Airport’s CEO says there’s plenty of capacity at Mascot
  • AirServices CEO steps down after 7 years
  • China Southern to target Qantas & British Airways’ “Kangaroo Route” (Australia to the UK) with their “Canton Route” via China
  • Air Pacific will return to being called Fiji Airways & get a new livery (so it may no longer be the “Flying Fruit Tingle”)

Note: Do a Google Image Search to see packets of Fruit Tingles :)

PS: We also have bloopers for this episode which you can play via the player below:
