Episode 160: Tiger’s back but CASA are watching closely

Grant’s out busy working with the hot air balloons so Steve’s flying solo. He covers the following aviation stories:

  • Tiger Airways is back in the air but with a few conditions from CASA. John McCormick at CASA has listed the issues they encountered when investigating Tiger Airways, with many of the them stemming from the airline’s poor documentation and recording.
  • Strategic Airlines have been talking about changing their name but have announced they will be commencing international flights to Hawaii from Brisbane and Melbourne.
  • Virgin Australia’s pilots are getting a pay rise.

Steve then wraps up the episode with a recording of Bruce Campbell from Southwest Airlines demonstrating the impressions he uses during his safety demonstrations.
