Episode 192: Cough, Gasp, Wheeze, Jetstar Hong Kong???

It’s April 1st and Grant’s wearing his Darth Vader life support breathing unit as he recovers from his recent illness. So, despite the wheezing and pauses for resuscitation, the boys manage to chat about:

  • Qantas launches Jetstar Hong Kong in conjunction with China Eastern – if the Hong Kong government will allow it to go ahead (& what will it mean for the big A320 order with AirAsia and Jetstar?)
  • The current military government in Fiji are changing the rules related to foreigners owning airlines which means that Qantas no longer has any control of Air Pacific (the Flying Fruit Tingle) despite owning 40% of it
  • RAAF progressing with process to obtain some F/A-18G Growlers
  • Rumours are flying of the Cocos Islands being used as a base for US Navy drones
  • Melbourne Airport Corporation announce plans for a $1 billion upgrade

That’s about it for now as the guys need to get some rest after getting up early to join Stephen Force on the Not At Sun N Fun show. Shame Rob Mark couldn’t make despite telling us he was sure he could juggle his schedule :)
